The Compete.com Art Gallery Opening

by Peter Askew on February 18, 2010

I’m a darn heavy leaner on Compete.com for competitive site traffic data. Large or small, really. Any type of heartbeat which might indicate signs of life.

Using Compete is a daily routine of mine. 7 days a week. Scrubbing a collection of sites. Scrubbing a collection of domain names. Looking for gems.

Sounds monotonous, but Lordy, it’s the bee’s knees. Cause when it works, you’re in the money.

I’ve been using Compete a while now — I wanna say since they initially launched, around July of 2008′ish I believe. The more I use it, the more I’m sincerely thankful it’s around. But also, the more I use it, the more I’ve noticed something else.

Outside of providing competitive web analytics, Compete consistently pumps out small canvases of web artwork. A mini gallery opening on every submission. Conveniently on your computer. A surprise every time.

Over the past few weeks, I’ve grabbed some of my favorite pieces. So now I’d like grant you an invitation. The unveiling. I’ve un-corked a vintage 2009 Boone’s Farm bottle for the occasion. Velveeta cheese is in the back. Prices: negotiable. enjoy.
